Hi Derek, Thank you reading and taking the time to comment. That was me, not Ted Chiang’s story. The story bits I tried to always put in between quotation marks. I was trying to say the “strongest deflation” is what I said in the next paragraph. Which had to do with being shown that you cannot do otherwise. Hope that is helpful. Thanks again.

This is your commentary or this is from the story? And if neither of these is the strongest deflation of free will, what is? Maybe I missed that part.
